The Honda Fit, known as the Honda Jazz in India, is poised to undergo a facelift for its fourth generation, specifically for the Chinese market, featuring a more dynamic and aggressive design. Developed through the GAC-Honda partnership, the updated model is expected to be launched soon, with leaked images revealing significant cosmetic alterations.

Honda Fit/Jazz: Design

The most prominent transformation in the revised Honda Fit is found at the front. It features sleeker headlamps, a newly designed bumper with a more pronounced lower intake, and a sharper nose profile. These modifications give the hatchback a more aggressive appearance compared to its predecessor. However, its overall shape and silhouette remain largely unchanged, with only aesthetic updates such as dual-tone outside rearview mirrors, blacked-out B-pillars, and standard door handles.

At the rear, the updates are subtle—a plastic addition to the rear bumper creates the effect of a racing diffuser, while the taillights remain unchanged. The facelifted Fit has also seen a slight increase in length, now measuring 4,196 mm.

Honda Fit/Jazz: Features

While the specifics of the cabin have yet to be officially revealed, it is anticipated that it will enhance the already impressive array of features found in the current model. This includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a digital TFT instrument cluster, automatic climate control, rear air conditioning vents, and a high-quality dual-tone leather interior. Additionally, it is expected that functionalities such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and integrated navigation will continue to be included.

The vehicle will also incorporate a multi-function steering wheel, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and flexible seating arrangements that have become a hallmark of the Fit.

On the safety side, Honda's Sensing suite will still be standard. This comprises driver-assist technologies like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, and lane-keeping assist—increasing its attractiveness for city commuters.

Honda Fit/Jazz: Specs and will it come to India?

The updated Honda Fit will continue to feature its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine, which generates 120 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, and will be equipped with a CVT transmission.

Regarding the Indian market, there is currently no confirmation regarding the return of the Jazz. The fourth-generation Jazz, which has a longer length, no longer qualifies for the sub-4-meter tax benefits, potentially making it less appealing in the premium hatchback market. Consequently, Honda is redirecting its efforts in India towards SUVs and electric vehicles. Upcoming offerings include an EV based on the Elevate model, anticipated by the fiscal year 2026-27, along with several other internal combustion engine SUVs.
