The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has recently been spotted testing in full camouflage for the first time in India. This is the only full-fairing sports bike from the Chakran-based two-wheeler manufacturer’s portfolio and it is slated for a generational update this year. Bajaj Auto has been posting teasers across its social media channels, and with the 2025 update, the bike is going to be launched with cosmetic enhancements and modern features.

The Bajaj RS200 has been a long-standing model within the manufacturer’s portfolio and has not been met with a significant update in a long time. If the teased motorcycle turns out to be the RS200, it could come with several updates targeted at modernising the model.

Bajaj Auto has further released a new teaser for the upcoming bike on social media. Practically confirming an RS update, the teaser clip's caption reads, “A million comments to update the RS and a decade long wait! Tell us why we need an RS update and we will think about it." While Bajaj has stopped short of mentioning the model name, the upcoming bike will be an updated RS200.

Expected changes:

Recent spy images circulating on social media indicate that the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will retain the overall design of its predecessor. The motorcycle is anticipated to introduce new color schemes and updated body graphics.

Although the aesthetic will largely remain unchanged, the forthcoming model is expected to debut with enhanced features. Bajaj is likely to equip the new RS200 with a fully digital instrument panel, which may include smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation capabilities. This instrument console could be adapted from the current Pulsar NS200.

Hardware and technical specifications:

The forthcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has been observed featuring a larger rear tire; however, it is not anticipated to include new wheels or upgraded braking components. The fundamental 199.5 cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 24.16 bhp at 9,750 rpm and 18.7 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, is expected to remain unchanged. This engine will be mated to a six-speed transmission.

According to the latest spy images, the 2025 RS200 is likely to be equipped with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension. In contrast, the new Pulsar NS200 is fitted with USD front forks, and incorporating these into the upcoming sports model could improve stability and enhance its premium feel. Similar to its predecessor, the new RS200 will utilize 17-inch wheels, featuring a 300 mm front brake disc and a 230 mm rear disc. The motorcycle will also be equipped with a dual-channel ABS for added safety.

The anticipated Bajaj RS200 is expected to be priced slightly higher than the previous model's ex-showroom price of ₹1.74 lakh. It will compete with models such as the Yamaha R15 V4 and the Hero Karizma XMR.
