BMW Motorrad India has introduced the 2025 S 1000 RR litre-class sport motorcycle at the Bharat Mobility 2025 event. This model year update features several minor enhancements and follows its global unveiling in October of the previous year. The 2025 BMW S 1000 RR is priced at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Below are the notable modifications to this model.
The 2025 BMW S 1000 RR showcases a redesigned body, which includes a more rounded and curvaceous headlamp cowl. The winglets have been enlarged, closely resembling those of the more powerful and track-oriented BMW M 1000 RR. These larger winglets enhance downforce, thereby increasing their functional benefits. The side fairings have undergone revisions, presenting an asymmetrical design with an exit vent on the left and gills on the right. Additionally, the brake cooling ducts have been seamlessly integrated into the front fender to improve disc cooling efficiency, particularly during track use.
Furthermore, the 2025 BMW S 1000 RR is equipped with additional electronic features, including a new Pro riding mode and M Quick-Action throttle, both of which are now standard. The motorcycle retains its traction control, slide control function, ABS with brake slide assist, and four ride modes—Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race. It also includes Hill Start Control, a bi-directional quickshifter, a pitlane limiter, launch control, and more.
BMW S 1000 RR: Specifications
The powertrain is derived from the well-known 999 cc inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which has been calibrated to deliver 210 bhp and 113 Nm of maximum torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. This configuration enables the S 1000 RR to accelerate from a complete stop to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The remaining hardware components on this fully-faired motorcycle are unchanged.
The S 1000 RR continues to be one of the most appealing litre-class motorcycles available, and the enhancements make it even more accommodating for track riding. The new S 1000 RR is being launched alongside the latest BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at the Auto Expo 2025, with both models set to be available shortly. These motorcycles can be purchased at BMW Motorrad showrooms across India.
In addition to the S 1000 RR and R 1300 GS Adventure, BMW Motorrad has presented its other premium offerings at Bharat Mobility 2025, which include the CE 02 and CE 04 electric scooters, M 1000 XR, R 1300 GS standard, F 900 GSA, R 12 nineT, as well as the locally manufactured G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR.
