The 2025 Audi A6 Avant has been officially unveiled, with the sedan variant of this well-known model set to be introduced later this year. It will continue to compete with the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes E-Class. Notably, although there were initial plans to rename it as the A7, the German manufacturer has decided to keep the A6 designation for its petrol and diesel models, thereby differentiating them from the forthcoming A6 e-tron electric vehicle lineup.

The 2025 Audi A6 showcases a contemporary design influenced by the latest Audi models. It features smoother surfaces and more understated air intakes, complemented by a prominent light bar that extends across the rear of the vehicle. Higher-end models are equipped with matrix LED headlights consisting of 48 LED segments, along with digital OLED taillights capable of displaying warning signals to following vehicles.

The sportier S Line variants are characterized by more pronounced bumpers and darkened badges. The selection of alloy wheels ranges from 18 to 21 inches. In terms of size, the new A6 measures 4,990 mm in length and 1,880 mm in width, making it slightly longer than its predecessor, which enhances both its aerodynamics and road presence.

The interior of the A6 is designed with a sophisticated cockpit that features three displays: an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch touchscreen dedicated to infotainment, and an optional 10.9-inch screen for passenger interaction. Operating on the Android Automotive OS, the passenger screen allows for app downloads and over-the-air updates, including popular applications such as Spotify and YouTube.

Additionally, the central infotainment system is equipped with ChatGPT capabilities for voice commands and supports wireless connectivity for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Notable features of the cabin include a panoramic glass roof with adjustable transparency, customizable ambient lighting, and a selection of upholstery materials that range from premium recycled microfibers to leather. Standard amenities include a high-quality Bang & Olufsen sound system, four-zone climate control, and soft-close doors.

2025 Audi A6 Avant: Specifications and Features

The latest Audi A6 offers a variety of petrol and diesel engine options, including a 201 bhp 2.0-liter turbo-petrol inline four-cylinder engine with a torque of 340 Nm, a 362 bhp 3.0-liter turbo-petrol V6 engine generating 550 Nm of torque, and a 201 bhp 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine with a torque output of 400 Nm. Some variants are equipped with Audi's mild-hybrid plus system, enabling limited electric-only driving. The V6 model comes standard with quattro all-wheel drive, while this feature is available as an option for the diesel variant.

Suspension choices include standard coil springs, sport-tuned springs, and adaptive air suspension, which allows for adjustable ride height. Additional performance features consist of a sport differential that channels power to the rear wheels, rear-wheel steering, and advanced torque vectoring, all of which enhance handling and comfort.

2025 Audi A6 Avant: Launch 

The 2025 Audi A6 Avant is already available for order in Europe, with first deliveries expected in May. While Audi has yet to confirm the model’s arrival in India, it is unlikely that the A6 Avant will make its way to India. Rather, the sedan version of the premium model will be slated for India launch.
