Aprilia has recently introduced its revamped 125 cc sports bike lineup for 2025. This update includes enhancements to the Aprilia Tuono 125 and the RS 125, featuring new aesthetic modifications and an upgraded liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that now meets the Euro 5+ emissions regulations. The hardware of both models remains consistent, as they utilize the same components. Each bike is equipped with full LED lighting and comes standard with Bosch ABS, which includes anti-rollover functionality.

The design of the front end of the Aprilia RS 125 and Tuono 125 is inspired by the RS 660 and Tuono 660 models. A distinctive feature of these bikes is the signature triple front light arrangement, with the front indicators seamlessly integrated into the headlights. The 2025 125 cc range boasts a complete LED lighting system and introduces new color options. The Aprilia RS 125 will be available in Kingsnake White and Cyanide Yellow, while the semi-faired Aprilia Tuono 125 will be offered in Viper Yellow and Mamba Grey.

Updated powertrain:

The core of the recent modifications lies in the revised powertrain, which is utilized by both motorcycles. The 2025 Tuono 125 and the 2025 RS 125 are equipped with an identical 124.2 cc engine that complies with Euro5+ emission standards.

This single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine features four valves and is paired with a six-speed transmission, with the option of a quickshifter available. It is capable of delivering a peak power output of 14.7 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

Chassis and hardware:

The Aprilia Tuono 125 and RS 125 are recognized as the sole Italian-manufactured sports motorcycles in the 125 cc category that feature an aluminum frame. In terms of specifications, both models retain the same hardware as their predecessors, with no alterations made. They are supported by 40 mm upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, which is equipped with an asymmetrical swingarm.

These motorcycles are fitted with 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The braking system consists of a 300 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear.

Tech suite:

The latest Aprilia Tuono 125 and Aprilia RS 125 models now come equipped with standard traction control. This feature is complemented by Bosch's dual-channel ABS, which includes an anti-rollover function designed to maintain traction on both wheels during emergency braking situations. Each motorcycle is fitted with an eight-inch backlit digital display that provides essential information, including speed, rev counter, gear position, fuel level, and both real-time and average fuel economy metrics. Additionally, a USB charging port is available as an optional accessory for buyers.

Pricing information for the 2025 Aprilia RS 125 and Tuono 125 has not yet been released. Although these models are set to be available in European markets starting in early 2025, their introduction to the Indian market is not anticipated in the near future.
