1 Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The fourth generation of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire marked a significant launch in India this year, featuring a notably refreshed design and an array of new attributes. This sedan was introduced with an entirely new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine, which also made its debut in the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift. While the new Dzire shares numerous components with its hatchback counterpart, it presents a distinctly different character. Notably, the new Dzire achieved the distinction of being the first model from Maruti Suzuki to earn a five-star rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. Key features of the updated Dzire include a single-pane sunroof, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, six airbags, a reverse parking camera, and electronic stability control. It is offered in both petrol and petrol-CNG bi-fuel variants, with transmission options comprising a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT.

2 Honda Amaze
In direct competition with the Dzire, the Honda Amaze also underwent a generational transformation, as the Japanese manufacturer launched the third-generation version of this sub-compact sedan in India shortly after the introduction of the Maruti Suzuki model. The new Amaze features numerous design modifications that bring it closer in appearance to the Honda City. Inside, the cabin has been extensively updated, now equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a wireless phone charger. Additional features include an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) that encompasses adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist technology. The vehicle is equipped with six airbags, a rearview camera, and a LaneWatch camera. The sedan is powered by the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, with transmission options available as a five-speed manual gearbox and a CVT unit.

3. The BYD Seal, introduced by the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD in India in March of this year, marks the brand's inaugural sedan offering in the country. The design of the BYD Seal appears to draw inspiration from the Porsche Taycan electric vehicle. This electric sedan is equipped with a comprehensive array of advanced technological features, including a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual wireless phone charging stations, and ventilated as well as heated front seats. In terms of safety, the BYD Seal is outfitted with nine airbags and an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, which features adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and autonomous emergency braking. The vehicle is available with two battery pack options: 61.44 kWh and 82.56 kWh, providing a maximum range of up to 650 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it offers both two-wheel drive (2WD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.

4. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheelbase (LWB) was among the prominent luxury sedans introduced in India in 2024. This sixth-generation model features a long-wheelbase variant, showcasing a more refined design. The interior is enhanced by the new MBUX hyperscreen setup, which appears to be inspired by the design of the EQS electric sedan. Notable features include a quad-zone automatic climate control system with digital vent management, a 17-speaker Burmester audio system, and 64-color ambient lighting options. Safety provisions encompass eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an ADAS suite. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB is offered with two turbocharged petrol engine options and one diesel engine variant.

5.The Indian luxury automobile market has recently welcomed the new-generation BMW 5 Series, which competes directly with the newly launched E-Class. This latest version of the BMW 5 Series is available in a long-wheelbase (LWB) configuration, marking it as the third long-wheelbase model from BMW in India, following the 3 Series and 7 Series. The vehicle features BMW's distinctive illuminated kidney grille and an advanced LED headlight arrangement. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a plethora of amenities, including a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, quad-zone climate control, and an 18-speaker Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system. The BMW 5 Series LWB is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
