Honda Cars India has recently introduced the Amaze to the Indian market. This model marks the second compact sedan to be launched this year, following the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Additionally, the Hyundai Aura remains a well-regarded option in the compact sedan segment. Below is a brief comparison of the Hyundai Aura and the Honda Amaze.

The latest Amaze incorporates design features from the new-generation City and the Elevate. Its prominent grille and headlamps draw inspiration from the Elevate, complemented by a flat bonnet. The rear tail lamp design, however, is taken from the new-generation City. The vehicle is equipped with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on the sides, while the mid-spec variant is fitted with 14-inch wheels.

In contrast, the Aura adopts a design similar to that of the Grand i10 Nios. Its headlamps mirror those of the Grand i10, featuring a projector halogen setup, inverted L-shaped daytime running lights, and a striking bumper. The top two variants are equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels on the sides.

The 2024 Amaze stands out as the most budget-friendly vehicle in the Indian market equipped with an Advanced Driver Aids System. It features LED lighting, an expanded touchscreen infotainment system, projector fog lamps, remote engine start capability, a semi-digital driver's display, and integrated connected car technology. Additionally, it is equipped with a 6-speaker audio system and a lane watch camera.

Conversely, the Aura offers amenities such as automatic climate control, cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, analogue dials paired with a multi-informational display, footwell lighting, rear air conditioning vents, and a rear armrest.

The Amaze is equipped with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering a maximum power output of 89 bhp and a peak torque of 110 Nm. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission, which includes paddle shifters.

Similarly, the Aura features a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, although it generates 82 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. This model is available with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.

The new Amaze is available at a price range of ₹8 lakh to ₹10.90 lakh. In contrast, the Aura is priced between ₹6.49 lakh and ₹9.05 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
