Honda Cars India has introduced the third generation of its subcompact sedan, the Amaze. The 2024 Honda Amaze features a refreshed design and upgraded technology compared to its predecessor. Alongside these enhancements, Honda has also raised the price of the Amaze lineup. The previous model commenced at a price of ₹7.19 lakh, ex-showroom, while the new version starts at ₹8 lakh. Nevertheless, this price increase is accompanied by numerous improvements.

Initially, the previous model began with the ‘E’ trim level. However, in early 2024, Honda phased out this trim, and the Amaze lineup transitioned to starting with the ‘S’ trim level. In contrast, the 2024 Amaze lineup now begins with the ‘V’ trim level. The earlier ‘E’ trim was quite basic, while the ‘S’ offered a few additional features and was priced at ₹7.57 lakh.

Notably, even when compared to the ‘S’ trim of the previous generation Amaze, which is only ₹43,000 less expensive than the new model's ‘V’ variant, the new base variant of the Amaze offers significant value for its price.

Honda Amaze V: Features

The base V variant is equipped with a remarkable array of features, which includes 14-inch steel wheels adorned with plastic covers, LED projector headlights featuring daytime running lights (DRLs), LED taillights, a shark-fin antenna, and body-colored outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs).

Inside, the new model presents an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, delivering audio through a set of four speakers. It also includes a 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display with a multi-information display (MID), fabric upholstery, a rear armrest with cupholders, manually controlled air conditioning, voice command functionality, steering wheel-mounted controls, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, paddle shifters (available only on the CVT variant), keyless entry, an electric trunk lock with keyless release, electric power windows for all passengers, six airbags, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

Honda Amaze V: Engine

All variants of the 2024 Honda Amaze are equipped with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine, offering a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT. This engine generates 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Notably, the 2024 Amaze provides the option of both manual and CVT transmissions across all trim levels.

The Honda Amaze V with a manual transmission is priced at ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CVT version is available for ₹9.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
